Hey guys,

So the engine on my 2004 6spd TSX crapped out on my last week and I have been trying to find a replacement motor. Just need something thats a straight swap but I cant seem to find any with decently low Kms. I did come across a JDM HONDA ACCORD EURO-R CL7 ACURA TSX K20A that one of the local JDM importers in Toronto. It comes complete with LSD tranny, drive shafts, ecu and wire harness.
The guy says its a direct fit and only real difference from the USDM motor is the red valve cover and its got a bit more power.

Now will this motor swap into my car with any real headaches? Like no crazy rewiring needed or mounts not lining up, etc?

I tried searching but I couldnt find a yes or no answer, or a yes answer with a bunch of "buts".

I would say yes because the engines are almost completely compatable , I know from experience the clutches are different but the motor you pickup I would swap your mounts onto it if there still in good shape and your wire harness should be fine to use with the motor. my tsx has a k24 block and a type r head I have no problems at all .

 

If you have kpro any motor would work. I have a turbo k24a4 in my tsx running kpro. Plus your have all mounts needed from your k24a2.
