Stuck mode motor
I've read many posts on this site that talk about replacing the mode motor when your vent buttons don't change the air direction. So I replaced my mode motor and it works the same as the old one, which is to say it only works about 10% of the time.
Both motors act like the whole assembly is jammed or stuck. If I nudge the arms they will sometimes slowly move into place. But as I cycle through the buttons the assembly will stop moving again. Is there a fix for this? Maybe a bad resistor?

If you haven't "lubed" the linkage, that would be a place to start.
Different gen but my 5th gen would do the same thing. I would then lube the linkage and be good for another few years.
"Usually" when the PCB on the 6th gen's manual HVAC goes bad the whole thing goes out.....no power at all......no AC, no blower, no lights....dead.
