1997 Civic with a LS swap LS ECU and LS Harness. For some reason I'm getting this code I checked the wire that goes back to the ECU and its fine I get 5V from the ECU and I get 5V to the sensor. I checked the ground wire by putting one end of my DVOM to batter + and the other to the wire and I get good ground what am I missing? How do I know If the sensor is good?

 

Ohm test the sensor and check the ground wire for an open or short.

 

Do you know where that ground wire runs to ?

I only see pin 2 from connector D being the 5V for the ECT. Would Pin 11 and 12 be for the gound for the ECT?

What color was the ECT wire that you said had 5V?

Did you do this^?

The ECT sensor grounds at D11. Do a continuity test to verify it is connected, and also test wire for a short to ground.

You may be testing the wrong connector. The Civic ECT sensor connector has Red/Wht (power) and Grn/Blk (ground) wires.

Again, did you Ohm test the sensor?

 

Your right the color is Red with white strip 5V

 

3.0 ohm on the sensor and with a scan tool in getting a reading of 215 C on the ECT and 23on the IAT and about 1 Ohm resistance from the pig tail to the ECU for D11 (green wire)

 

Any ideas?
