Long story short my old exhaust snapped cause it was welded ( horribly i might add, it came on the car) i bought a whole new cat back and header. I got a used test pipe off my buddy till i could afford to buy a high flow cat.

Problem im having is the flange on the test pipe is much smaller then the flange on my new header. The bolt holes are way off. Now the test pipe came off of a b series car. Why am i having this problem? All the test pipes/highflows i look at seem to all have the same small flange?.. Am i just going to have to cut and weld a bigger flange to the test pipe?

Any help asap please i need my car for work and ive been teying to figure this out all day.

 

B series and D series exhaust manifold flanges have a different orientation.

 

Im sorry i didnt mention that i have a b series in my car now, not a d series

 

It just sounds like you have a pipe mismatch. You haven't actually given us any useful information on the header (aside from the fact that it's...a header) or the test pipe (aside from the fact that it's used). That said, you have also failed to follow simple subforum rules. Specifically, giving all required information - chassis, and any relevant modifications.
