Default Run with service connector jump

Hi, My CEL come ON, but I turned the car off looking for the paper clip, when I jumped the connector and turned the switch NO code.

Can I use the car with the service connector jumped? I read some OBD1 ECU's clear the codes when turn the switch OFF.

civic 97 EX
LS/VTEC
P28 ECU + tuned.

Don't drive your car with the service connector jumped. It will prevent the ECU from adjusting the ignition timing to different engine loads and rpms.
