Hi. I am actually posting for my 18 year old son. We recently bought him a 1997 Honda Accord EX coupe. It has the H23a jdm 2.3 liter engine with dohc, which was installed in 2011. We live in rural Montana and repair shops or mechanics for this engine are not easily found...We are stumped You see, this car sat in storage for three years prior to us buying it. Unknown to us at the time, the owner had started it up and driven it without first replacing the fuel. Just after we bought it, it started acting up as soon as he hits 2000 rpm...it "bogs down". Anyway, we have cleaned the fuel injectors, replaced the MAP sensor and throttle position sensor, changed the fuel filter and checked the cold air intake...they tried seafoam in the gas... Any ideas or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated as I'd like to get my son driving his new car ASAP for the summer ANY advice or information regarding this engine would be awesome too! Thank you!!!
