So I don't know where to start on fixing my cruise control the light on the button and the dash don't light up so where should I start

 

Check the fuse.......

 

Iv checked the fuses the vaccum lines the pedal switches one thing I noticed is the cruise control button on the dash doesn't light up but the back light does any thing else I should check

 

Well, if cruise is not working, which could be entirely independent of if the switch light comes on or not, get a Helms service manual and start following the flow-chart to test items in the system.

My first guess would be dead bulb, second would be bad solders in the switch or a relay.

My Lude has not had cruise for the last 8-9 years now, so that is about all the help I can give.
