Replaced brakes, now heat + smoke
Put on Brembo Rotors (Non slotted) + Akebono Brake pads.
Drove a solid 2hrs, and everytime I slow down or turn I get a loud grinding sound... Only happens when the car is moving. Suggestions on what this could be?
I got home and I can feel the heat coming from the driver side brake system. Gets blistering hot, and I can see smoke.
Replaced the Pads, Rotors, and the calipers.

Honestly man, check your caliper pistons (this is what I call them) they are what adjusts on their own as your brake pads wear down, sometimes they get stuck. I always grease them every time to avoid this problem. Also, by accident and being in an absolute rush, I have put a break bad on backwards out of sheer stupidity and it made a grinding sound when driving down the road. Once I realized this I obviously was able to fix the sound. Sometimes the simple fix is what you have to look at first!!
I just had the same thing happen to me. Was a combination of things:
Calipers
Dust Shield on back of rotor, just bend it enough so it's not touching anymore
CV Axle. This is a long shot. I just did suspension work, and the boot tore, CV grease was spattered inside my wheel well, and it was smoking and getting hot because of this.
Omg this was my thread. Well there we go, hope this helps someone in the future
