Slowwww Honda Civic
Hi i just started using this forum and i have very little knowledge about cars. but what i do know is that my civic is the slowest thing on the rode right now. i have an aftermarket intake and exhaust but i think thats it. i need more power to the pedal, i was thinking a turbo or nitrous kit since i only have around a grand to spend. any advice on how to make her zoom would be great. thanks

Save your money, realize a Civic is a commuting car aimed at good gas mileage. Buy a better car later on after you've saved money.
You're not going to do anything to the car for $1k that will make it speedy. The intake and exhaust aren't going to do much either.
In fairness, this has been covered quite a few times here and is well-documented in the FAQ's thread. But, for entertainment's sake, I'll point you in the right direction.
For starters, the D17 is a horrible platform for aftermarket support, and even when dumping money into it... it yields little results. The best option for the chassis, would be to invest in a K-series swap, as they have enormous power potential. If you're looking to spend only $1,000, I would look towards making the car handle a bit better so you can drive the car safer at speed and maneuver with more ease and result.
