I posted this in the Integra forum and it sounds like this is considered normal behavior for a B18C1 engine.


Question: What causes this? I've had several B and D engines over the years and none of them made a noise like this. Only obvious difference I can see is that 2 stage intake manifold on the B18C1 vs the other engines. The noise is very noticeable from inside the car and definitely not something I'd want to listen to with a daily driver. Putting the airbox cover in basically kills the noise, but I'm curious about the cause.
