Mini Me Questions Pls!!!
ok this is what I have and i think I'm ready to do the project. I have a D16Z6 intake manifold, but the throttle body is incomplete.
D16Z6 CYLINDER HEAD
P28 ECU
D16Z6 HEAD GASKET
D16Z6 TIMING BELT
ARP HEAD BOLT
OBD 0 TO OBD 1 CONVERSION HARNESS( ON IT'S WAY FROM BLOWNHATCH)
Do I really need the Z6 distributor and the Intake manifold?

Wassup with an attitude.. I've search and i didn't find a definite answer, if you can find and answer as far as I can use my stock intake manifold and all the stock harness and use my stock distributor and plug my p28 and knowingly I don't really need a z6 intake manifold then I'll shut up. I don't have a car and I'm getting tired of it. I just want to do it right and at this point I need anyone's feedback of should I just plug it in or just get more parts to do it correctly
I'm also reading a lot of previous mini me question and a lot of people suggesting of getting the intake manifold, I'm just confuse of all the valve controller and different plugs that I don't have.
K FOUND SOME GOOD ONE! THANKS GUYS

as far as i know you will need the z6 distributor to use with the p28 ecu. also you will need the injectors off a z6. you can use the a6 manifold and t.b. but the Y8 will flow the best. its considered the "type R" of d-series manifolds. don't forget to take out the oil jet from the a6 block
good luck with your project

You will need a Z6 dist. If you had a Y8 head, you wouls have a lot of other choises for a dist, but the Z6 needs a Z6.
I would stronly recommend either the Z6 or the Y8 manifold. You motor will be sucking through a swizzle stick instead of that fatty striped McDonalds straw.

These guys are right, with the P28 ECU you must use the proper distributor - the Z6. As for the injectors/intake manifold, it depends. The Z6 intake manifold isn't much of an improvement over the A6, I can honestly tell you that you WON'T feel ANY difference at all.. Now, the injectors is a little bit different, are you doing a FULL OBD-1 conversion? Or are you just using the ECU harness conversion? Let me put it this way, if you're not getting rid of the injector resistor box, then you must use the OBD-0 (A6) injectors. If your tossing the resistor box for the full obd-1 conversion, then you must use 0bd-1, or obd-2 injectors. The A6/Z6/Y8 injectors are all the same size, none are really any better than the other. Injectors:
A6=Peak and Hold type
Z6/Y8=Saturated type
Good luck.
