How do I install an Ek climate control into my EJ8? HELP!
Yes you can install it, I give you my permission to install it.
Did you have a technical question, or have you used the search function before? You will need the climate controller harness with the temperature sensors and blower motor resistors to install into any us spec Honda.

without being too detailed in my response
You need to re wire the climate control system using a wiring source from a jdm vehicle.
Last time I looked on ebay sellers were listing the controls with the temperature sensors and necessary wiring.
search Google copy and paste this term
"Jdm honda hvac controls install site:honda-tech.com "

not to be a downer but I've tried to install climate control on every Honda civic I've owned. (5 total) that came with that option in japan. i have never been successful and i'm very good at wiring. even if you got it working you would have to think in C not F. i would not waste my time and just upgrade to 99-00. IMO.

well ive been able to get it working in manual mode. but, for example, when i did the 2002 civic EX (from hybrid model) it would go to max A/C( max fan cool temp recirculate) when i turned it to auto. it was 40*c outside still max ac yet heater worked great in manual.
2008 civic EX (from CSX) was the same thing but it would swing back and forth between extreme cool and heat.

1. I have no idea what temperature readings are in Celsius
2. The controls are on the wrong side
3. More things to break that will be impossible to replace. Imagine if the ac stopped working because a temperature sensor goes out.
It would be easiest on a 96-98 car to relocate the ac controls to the area behind the cup holder but then you're still dealing with a single din setup. And doing all that work and not having a double din setup for a nice touch screen just seems like a waste of time.

The other big issue you're going to run into is the difference from 96-98 and 99-00. The 96-98 uses manual controls, whereas the 99-00 uses a fully electronic system, and converting from one to the other is a whole separate task from actually installing the JDM setup.
