Default H22 swap in CB7 questions

Like the title says I'm getting ready to do a H22 swap in my Accord and have a couple questions. I'm in the process of gathering parts and because this car is my daily driver I need this swap to get done in one day so I want to make sure the information I have is 100%.

I searched the FAQ but the link for H22 in 4th gen swap is dead. I am using an OBD-1 JDM H22 with a P13 ecu. The car is a 93 LX.

1. Will an OBD-1 USDM H22 or H23 distributor work? I know I can convert the internal coil to external with the JDM distributor but would prefer not to if those distributors are a plug and play option.

2. Are the USDM OBD-1 and OBD-2 H22(non SH) exhaust manifolds the same? Is the JDM one the same? From what I read I need the manifold and A-pipe from a 93-96 Prelude Vtec. I prefer to keep the exhaust oem and if possible I could use the JDM manifold that comes with engine and source a USDM 93-96 Prelude A-pipe that would be nice.

3. I would like to keep the factory air box and an oem intake tube. What are my options? Will my stock tube work? H22 tube with F22 box? H22 tube with H22 box?

4. How is this swap with the F22 trans? Does it make driving unenjoyable? I'm on the fence with getting a H22 trans and sticking with the F22 will definitely help the wallet out. I don't have any plans to track the car and I do a lot of highway driving. I can always swap in a H22 trans later but from some things I have read I may just want to get one now. Obviously the H is a better match for the motor but is the F really that bad?

1.) You can use the external coil, in fact I think it might make the wiring simpler as you're using the existing system from the F-series trans.

2.) Just get a header. A Prelude exhaust system won't fit the Accord and I seriously hope you don't plan to choke a H22 on the Accord stock exhaust. There are plenty of subtle high-flow exhaust mufflers on the market. A cheap eBay header and some thermal paint will do fine as a medium-term interim solution.

3.) Factory Accord air box will also choke the engine severely. If you want stock looking, get a Prelude airbox. AEM dryflow filter or a Wix element. Either that or get a cheap Prelude intake pipe off eBay and replace the filter with a Blox velocity stack intake.

4.) Its still a fun car, but for 200hp the gearing is a bit long. But then again transmissions as short as the Prelude/Accord-R usually have a 6th gear for cruising. Its your choice really, a JDM LSD-equipped trans is about a grand, a good LSD is only a little less. If you mainly do city driving, sure, get the JDM trans, if you do mostly highway driving, make sure your F trans is up to par and put a LSD in it.

From what I've read the JDM H distributors have an internal coil, the F's have an external obviously. The USDM H22/23's have external coils and I want to know if I can just use one instead of doing the external coil conversion on the JDM distributor. I was under the impression the F22 distributor won't bolt up to the H22 or I would just use the distributor on my F22.

I really don't want a header. A Prelude exhaust manifold won't choke the H22 as it was designed specifically for that engine. Also I am under the impression the Accord EX exhaust is the same diameter as the Prelude w/H22 so I don't see it choking the engine but correct me if I'm wrong on that, I read it a few places online but do not know for sure. I have an oem EX exhaust for when I do the swap, I forgot to mention that. I know how stupid this sounds but I'm basically looking for a "stock" H22 Accord. Quiet intake and exhaust is must for me. If I absolutely have to have aftermarket then I will but I would really like to keep everything oem parts as possible.

Yeah I seen the price on those LSD transmissions, bit pricey. I've seen some people swapped F series 5th gears in the H trans but that requires some machining. I'll probably just use my trans for now and see how it is and if I don't like it I can always build or buy something.

Thanks again for the input.
