brake light issue
Hey guys i actually have a 97 acura CL with is pretty similar to the 95 accord. my driver side brake light does not come on and im not getting 12v at the plug. Fuse is good or passenger and 3rd brake light would not work. Both lights come on with hazards. Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

1. Did you check the bulb? The bulb is dual filament; one filament is for the brake light when the brake pedal is depressed; and the other filament is for the taillight when headlights or parking lights are turned on. The electrical circuits for the two are separate.
2. If the bulb is okay, then the issue may be either due to the brake light failure sensor (should be located at the left rear brake/taillight assembly) or wiring.
At the connector to the brake light failure sensor, you can then jump the Wht/Grn wire terminal cavity to the Orn wire terminal cavity. Then depress the brake pedal, does the left brake light work?
If the left brake light works this way, you probably have a faulty brake light failure sensor.

The bulb is good.. I tested the plug. I get 12v at the parking light but nothing on the brake at the plug. I know the ground is good since they share it. Ill look for the sensor next.
