When I drive my project DA9 and try to hit the brakes to come to a full stop the car starts to die out unless I let the brake go, if I let the brrake go it returns to normal idle. If I leave the brake down the car will shut off and won't start for another hour. When I bought it the old owner said it needs a distributor. Is it my distributor??

Well if its deff related to the braking maybe theres a restriction in the brake booster or something, check the vacuum line from the brake booster to the intake manifold. but i don't think the distributor is related.
