Default Hunting idle after pressing throttle

I have a 1993 SI with a Y7 block, Z6 Head, and Z6 manifold. Recently I started noticing when my car is idling and I hit the gas the idle starts to jump between 1000 and 1500 RPMs. It doesent stop until I turn off the car. It also doesent do it unless I hit the throttle.

Its not a rough idle, just one that jumps up and down

Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

CEL codes?

Start by clean the IACV, FITV, and throttle body.

I still need to pull the codes. I'll post it/them when I do.

What should I use to clean those?

Carburetor cleaner.

Remove TB, IACV, and FITV and clean on the bench. Buy a new TB gasket.

I did some more testing today and had it idling for about 30 minutes. I was running through the gears and when I put it into reverse, it started to idle back and forth even faster until I put it back into neutral and released the clutch.

Also, after 20 minutes of idling, it was completely normal. It started idling at 800 RPMs. Even after hitting the gas

Would that mean its the FITV since the valve closes after the car heats up?

I also had a problem with pulling codes. I found the blue connector and put a wire in both. turned the ignition to the on position, and didn't get any blinking. it just turned off after 2 seconds, and didn't repeat.

Either your wire jump did not make good contact with the connector pins or you jumped the wrong connector.

Just went out and used a paper clip instead and got code 41, which is primary oxygen sensor heater.

Reset ECU. If codes doesn't return, ignore.
