Hello Honda-Tech,

I bought a 01 Civic LX about 2 months ago it has 192k on it and a d17a1(I think). When I bought it the guy said it could be a mass airflow sensor issue causing Rpm to drop pretty much to 0. It idles high like 1.5k when I start it which is normal to my knowledge. It warms up and the idle drops to roughly 750rpm. Now when I'm driving(5speed manual) and I'm at higher speed and I switch to neutral, the idle will lope up and down from 100rpm to about 1200rpm. It NEVER stalled out on me but gets very close and the engine gets shaky. I tap the gas and it kinda struggles but jumps right back up to 750rpm. When I'm cruising around it will do this like if I come up to a stop sign the rpm drops to pretty much 0, but will not stall. Is it the MAF sensor or do I have some sort of other issue? Thanks.
