Icon2 2003 Honda civic 5 speed transmission problem

I have a 2003 honda civic ex coupe 1.7L Vtec and 5 speed tranny I was driving it the other day and it started popping out of 5th gear everytime i let off the gas then it stopped engaging 5th all together. I drove it today and i could get it into 5th but again started popping out everytime i let off the gas also is now hard to get into reverse. What is my problem? Im thinking syncros but i have no idea on how to rebuild this myself but dont exactly have the money to just buy a new tranny.

Have you checked or replaced your transmission fluid?
