Default 1st gen civic cvcc B18c1 turbo RYR Build

I am building this car for a guy out of LA. this car is getting a ground up build starting with the drivetrain. This car is getting a fully built b18c1 all motor . custom front cross member and the motor fit nicely. just got the motor hanging last night so there will be lots of updates on the way. Thanks for taking the time to look!

traction bars are done and installed. started with all new instead in grafting to the old stuff. The bar connects to the custom front cross member.
also started mounting the radiator.

^thanks!

Well change of plans me and the owner have talked and he wants to go all motor. as we all know that will plenty of power for this chassis. I have tried to change the title but cant seem to find were to change it at. we went with a Toda style header for this car I think it fits perfect and its not just a standard header.

I've got an 81 Civic wagon with a turbo'd B16 in it! I'm really curious to watch the rest of this build!

Icon2 better brakes i hope also...

This is looking to be a fantastic build, can't wait to see it completed and running.

Wise choice just to go with an all motor setup on this car, for such a light chassis the all motor setup will provide all the motivation for this CVCC.

I want to see what you will do with the current brake setup, perhaps Wilwood? All that new found power is dangerous without better brakes!

Thanks. The car is getting a ground up build ,paint and so on so it will be some time before we are up and running. After building a k20 first gen I told the owner the same thing , it will still be over powered. The suspension is a full BC coilovers with a 4x100 4 wheel disc conversion. I think with the light weight the 4 wheel disc will do the job.

Just saw a great looking B16A swap into a CVCC at the Carlisle Import Show.
The owner had no complaints about the power.
Keep on posting the pics of the build.

I was able to use the rear stock mount but still wanted a front solid mount to tie everything in to the front sub frame.

started the exhaust system , waiting on the resonator and the Burns muffler to finish it out. started with a Toda style header but we cut the stock flange off and added a v-band just to make life easier.

I followed your k20 1st gen from the beginning on the other site, one of my 5 favorite honda builds, period. That thing was def 10lbs of sh*t in a 5lb bag, so I guess this build would be 9lbs>5lb bag lol. Your workmanship is second to none, definitely tuning in for updates!

We are using AN hose and fittings for the radiator and tried to use the original hole in the top of the radiator but there is no room to make that happen so we had to change it up a little.
