Default A few issues chipped jdm p08 ecu

So i chipped my first jdm p08 ecu to run a friends jdm h22a, problem is car is only revving to where launch control is set even when moving and completely ignores where i set my rev limit. I thought it was problem with vss but speedo is working fine. Then i tried to remove launch control by setting it very high to like 9000rpm. It then completely ignored my rev limit which was set at 7200rpm and wanted to rev to 9000rpm where i set the launch control. Both the speedo and rpm meters are working as they should be. Any one know what could be the problem? Could it be a bug in crome or ecu wasn't chipped properly? I'm pretty sure its not wiring as both speedo and rpm meters are working fine. Could i just use launch control as my rev limit? I know i shouldn't but can't seem to find a solution. Also does anyone know which pin to wire the vtec oil pressure switch to on a jdm p08. I know for p28 its pin d6. But do jdm p08 and p28 have same pinouts? Any help is much appreciated guys, thanks.

Sounds like it initially went into limp mode, but then it ores the Rev limiter after u changed the launch control makes no sense.. any CEL's? Are you using EPROM chips or is it still connected to a demon/ostrich while you're making these changes? Try pulling out the chip, erasing it, and reprogramming the tune on it.

Thanks for the response. Somehow the CEL light isn't working and i can't pull out codes at the moment. The base map was used just to drive from one workshop to another. I just noticed on my map i have all sensors disabled except eld. I am using sst chip and i did reburn it 2,3 times but each time the car revved to launch control even if launch control was set above rev limiter. This was done while the car was stationary cause its only a base map and due to some issues couldn't check the CEL and we didn't want to risk anything. No idea whats going on. I'll try again when my friend brings the car in again.

Yeah dude you're in limp mode. See if you can connect to datalogging to make sure. Either the ECU wasn't chipped correctly, or the rom is corrupt. Try the stock ECU and see what codes come up. If it's still in limp mode, there's a wiring issue.
Pretty sure the JDM P08 doesn't have a VTP circuit, so disable it.

Thanks for the reply. Ok so if the car is in limp mode, it will still let me rev to where i set my launch control? I set the launch control to 7200rpm and checked in 2nd gear and it revved to that point. The car also idles to where i set it. Wouldn't it rule out limp mode? And again thanks a lot for you response.
