third chance for this bum...

 

Here's how it went down:

A week ago I started a post regarding swapping out ECU's, more specifically my JDM p72 for someone elses USDM p72.: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=312532
I recieved a response from a member "champwhitesi" https://honda-tech.com/zerouser?cmd=...e&id=999299068 AKA Carlo Apalis. He emailed me and said he has the ECU I am looking for, we then agreed upon the conditions of the trade. They were, 1)my JDM p72 UCU for his USDM p72 ECU, straight across, no cash.
2)I stated that I would even pay his freight charges, so it would'nt cost him anything, I in turn enclosed $14.00 to cover his costs.
He aggreed, asked I send him my ecu first for he would have no other way to drive his car. I agreed, he sounded legit, it made sence. As soon as he recieved my ECU, he was suppose to send his, in which he said he did, and 2nd day air at that. That was Thursday, Oct 31. I asked him for the tracking # and he avoided the Q, so I sked him again and he has'nt responded yet.....he has since changed his email address as well, however I do have a contact # that I have been leaving messages at.

I recieved correspondance from him this morning.

he said something came up and that my original ECU is in transit back to me...fine. I want proof. He said he'd get me the # and I have yet to hear back

 

UPDATE:
Today I recieved my old ECU back, along with the $14.00 I enclosed for him to send the USDM ecu back.

One of two things happened, I don't think that needs to be elaborated on...

As of now, CHAMPWHITE SI is clear with me, not considering the time/effort wasted on this issue due to lack of communication

 

Hey guys this will be my only reply to this thread. i for one is not a scammer(i hate scammers).

I gave his ecu back and his money. they were sent out last friday two day air, by UPS. after sending it out that friday pretty much bad things happened to me during the weekend, that were a health issue to me. This incident between mike was just bad comunacations on my part due to the fact 1) i go to school full time and work full time. (i know dlo gsr can back me up on that) 2) got into car accident after i sent the ecu on friday, which i stayed in the hospital for a day 3 ) my isp going down on me so i couldnt email Mike back or recieving any email.

but anyways i apologize on my part on not being hasteful to send a reply back. or keeping him informed.

If you are that busy you should probably not be trying to make deals over the Internet.

 

give the guy a break, he sent part and money back after being in a accident and spending a day in hospital. i dont think he had those things planned. If i was in hospital last thing i know id be thinkin about is a 150 dollar ecu.
