Broke 2nd gear clean off at the drag strip this weekend. ~370whp/310tq turbo H22 with a comp twin disc. Flat-foot shifting set up through Neptune. Synchrotech synchros with Quaife diff.
Friend of mine is on his 5th H trans, also breaking 2nd gear. Partly, I know my wheel hop had a part in the destruction (worn rod ends on the traction bar) but what is there to do to strengthen the gears themselves? I've used WPC in the past for engine internals, how does it work for transmission parts? Cryo treatment worth anything either? Would rather not be replacing gear sets on a regular basis. Thanks guys!

Wpc does help, but for your application I don't believe it's going to do much. Wheel hop is the number one thing to avoid. Are you running street tires? Slicks should eliminate that issue. Twin disc is also a very aggressive clutch for that power level.

Yeah the twin is a little overkill right now. Engine is built for ~700, just have a small turbo on it at the moment for autocross. Wanted to run it down the strip to see what it would do. ~500 soon with a 5857 I recently picked up so it should come in handy at that level.
Anyways, I'm running BFG Rivals currently, with a set of M&H street/strip in the garage (need 15" wheels for them). Guess I'll fix the wheel hop and get those drag tires on. I appreciate your input, thank you

Torco MTF. No flow control valve, I looked into them (clutchmasters and tilton) when I first got the twin but I forgot about them. Good investment?
