Ignition System???
I have a 95 JDM h22a. I am looking to purchase a new ignition system for my car to get better performance. Which ignition system would be the best one to purchase for my car and should I purchase anything other than the system (ie. spark plug wire, etc...). And how much would I look to be spending on the setup. Thanks!!
Check this bad boy out, no distributor to clean: http://www.electromotive-inc.com/products/hpx.html
Has anyone tried this system yet? It looks good in concept. I wonder why Honda hasn't gone the route of the electronic/distributorless ignition.
LOL I went to do a tune-up on my Mom's Maxima and I couldn't find the damn distributor anywhere. Then I couldn't find the spark plugs. (I'm used to inline Honda 4 bangers ) . I realized that it was an electronic/distributorless ignition system. Do these MSD and other aftermarket ignition systems still use the distributor to get the spark trigger?

direct-fire ignitions are bad-***. Electromotive is widespread thru SCCA racing. Very good company although I've heard they haven't been updating their product as much as their competitors. I think 6th gen vtec motors (LX/EX) are distributor-less but i could be wrong. The electromotive unit is crank-fired.
