Hello everyone! I have a 2002 Honda Accord Ex 4dr Sedan that I just bought 3 weeks ago with 152k miles. It still runs strong and also it's very clean inside and out for a car this old. To the best of my knowledge has no mechanical issues (not even the transmission issue I've heard is a big problem with this car). Everything is great except on thing that I've noticed. As i was starting up the car one morning and waited for the engine to warm up i heard a sort of "click" noise that lead me to the engine. When the car started up it was sort of fast but not too fast of a clicking sound. Does anyone know what the issue is here? is it problematic and can cause serious damage to my engine or is it a simple fix? I attached a link to a video that I recorded of this sound.


Another sound it makes happens when the car is put into D(rive) after everytime it gets started (not just in the morning). The sound is a short sound almost like a little rev. I also attached a link for you guys to hear the sound also.

1st video sounds like valve train noise. Are u low on oil? Has it always made this noise or is it new? Have you had your valve lash properly adjusted?

The second video I can't really make out any odd noises. Sounds like a lot of background noises, hard to hear what you're referring to...

 

Yea for the first problem the sound has been heard probably after a week of being bought. Ive also filled it with oil but i plan on changing the oil soon. I also heard about adjusting the valves but im gunna have to wait since im broke right now (college student).

For the second problem i can post a new video later today (saturday) after church and ill try my best to make it clear.
