need guidance on vibration/noise problem 2012 Civic EX
My 2012 Civic EX sedan with 47,000 miles has a pronounced humming noise/vibration that seems to be coming from the right front tire area (although sometimes it seems to be coming from the rear of the car). The noise is like a droning sound that occurs from roughly 40 mph and higher. It is most pronounced on the highway at speed. I've recently noticed that turning the car to the right makes the noise diminish (entrance ramps for example), but turning left does nothing for the noise. Over the last 1000 miles or so, the noise has gotten worse. Initially I assumed its just typical to 2012 Honda's suffering from road noise in general. But now I am not sure. Before I go to the dealer I was hoping some members might have had similar experiences and can give me some trouble shooting guidance?

It may possibly be due to a bad wheel bearing.
Try rotating the tires to see if there is a difference in noise, if it changes after rotation, it is a tire or wheel problem.

Tech8,
You were spot on. It was the right rear wheel bearing and was covered under warranty. Thanks for the guidance!
