Turbo question, but i researched and can't find anything.
ok i have a 2001 honda prelude, pretty much stock, except intake. Well i want a turbo kit, i have a ss 4 got to say dat. (yes a fake stick). i don't want nos or supercharger. to many people keep telling me to get those for bolt on power. i'm a turbo fanatic. i got a bone stock car, and want something to make my car faster but i'm not going to build my motor up or anything else soon. maybe later in lyk (2-3 years) just want bolt on parts for power. what turbo kit should i go for?? i was thinking greddy or revhard stage 2. if their are any other's suggestion please tell me, thank you first, for your answers.i just want to run around anywhere from 12-13 in a quater mile. not asking much hehe.
sorry to tell you but you aint gonna be runnin 12's without modifying your motor.
theres alot more to it too.
do a search...youll see...besides build up your motor and have it tuned right and you will be able to run 12's without blowing up!!!

you'd be lucky to run low 14's on street tires with the ss tranny.
that will be the weak link in your prospective set-up. any fi with the ss tranny is risky. if you're really serious about making a 12-13 second prelude, beef up the ss tranny.

yea i'm thinking about level 10 torque converter and bullitproof automatic tran., but not untill awail. no money. hehe but just want bolt on power now. so should gready turbo kit at 7psi work for this stock tranny, also could the stock tranny hold up rev hard stage 2??? i was really looking forward to rev hard for the price and what i'm getting.
i wouldn't recommend going turbo especially with a stock motor unless you have money readily available to fix things down the line.
If you want bolt-on power, get the greddy kit with intercooler. Your SS tranny should be able to hold up to the increase in power as long as you don't beat on it, and it'll give you time to save up for either level 10 modification or a 5spd swap.
