Cleaned throttle body and FITV? idle is different now
so I cleaned the throttle body today and took it off the intake manifold along with cleaning the FITV, the throttle body was really dirty and I took note of how the FITV was adjusted.. after car is fully warm idle use to be around 550rpm, now it idles at 1100rpm, to adjust the idle do I simply take the FITV valve off again and adjust it? if so can I do while it's warm? all this was done while it was cold frm sitting overnight any input would be great ty
I was able to bring the idle down with the idle adjustment screw next to the map sensor, as far as the first cold start it was pretty rough, at first I had to Rev the car up prevent it from dying, I'm assuming this happened cause I took everything apart and it needed to create a vacuum again, waiting for the car to cool again to attempt another cold start, as far as the warm idle, was it proper to adjust idle by the screw or do I need to adjust it by the fitv.
