Default need hints for building up a B16A2

hi!

believe it or not but in Germany it is way "cheaper" to build up a B16 than buying a B18 or some equal...

i need some hints for building up my b16.

itīs a daily driven car, somethimes itīs on the track (no drag race, though my nickname sounds like this)

Thanks

high-cr throught either pistons (ie CTRs), thinner gasket = around 11.5-12.50 is good for street with gas avalible in Europe.

larger cams with springs, retainers (basically upgraded valve train) (skunk2 stage 2/3 or Toda B/C or Jun II or III) - use cam gears and tuning

ITR/CTR intake manifold with larger TB (ie spoon or one of the billet types by BBK or others)

4-1 header from JDM ITR or other quality piece, even DC 4-1 2.5" collector is cool

chipped ecu + VAFC or Hondata (no need for something more aggressive then that)

tranny = LSD + 4.786 or 4.929 FDR will bring the torque back to the B16A

good exhaust system with CAI intake and all this should be able to give you about 185whp+ with proper tuning

or the cheaper way is to use honda only parts CTR pistons, CTR cams, ITR/CTR intake, chipped ecu, JDM ITR 4-1 header/cat and ITR TB

other ways is to stroke the motor

Good Setup

Only the compression should be not higher than 11.8:1. We only got 99 RON over here

setup sounds really good!

but searching the archieve iīve seen that the spoon TB shouldnīt be that good...

any other recommends for that? how big the TB should be?

wouldnīt a 4-2-1 header be better for a daily/track car?

stock ITR is plenty.

JDM 4-1 best bang for the buck.
