Default f20b balancer belt




This is a picture of my rear balancer shaft pulley is there any other way i can set it at tdc because i cant seem to get it through the maintnence hole because i dont have a 6-100 mm bolt.

You do not need a 6-100mm bolt just use a screw driver that will fit in the maintenance hole and do it that way. Courtesy from extremeprelude's oil pump write-up.

It's not that hard. Though I suppose I appreciate the fact that u weren't simply asking how to line it up lol.

When u put in the screwdriver (or dental pick works too) don't push it all the way in at first. Slowly turn the gear many times until u feel the hole because it takes 3 revolutions for that gear to reach tdc and just cuz the screwdriver goes in doesnt mean it went THROUGH. You will feel the screwdriver mildly scrape until it fully extends in.

Do not overtightenen balance belt. It'll whine. It doesn't need to be *that* tight. If you're at this step, with timing and balance belts on, Start up the car before u put the accessory belts on, in case the timing jumps or becomes off. 3k rpm > hand turning. Don't let it run long. U won't have alt power.
