Icon2 Idling high on it's own

I finally got a chance to start checking my car and RPM's were rising as high as 6k on idle. I cleaned iac and nothing. I did the map wack and nothing. I just checked my tps and on closed throttle it read 1.02 and on open it read 4.48. I see that the closed test is obviously way off but would the bad tps cause such a symptom? I am gonna buy a used throttle body this week.

Thanks

I was thinking that but I could not find any plus the revs were getting so high, I couldn't leave the car on for too long. It's like if the gas pedal was being pressed by itself ( and no it's not the floor mats)

if you have had the throttle body off maybe check the gasket isn't broken.

I don't know about the s2000 throttlebody but the D series and B series ones also have a opportunity to leak through the TPS sensor. so maybe it could an introduced problem.

I actually read about the gaskets on s2ki. I'm gonna be getting the new throttle body in 3 days with tps and map sensor. Will change all gaskets on sensors and throttle body and come back with results.

I solved the problem by replacing the throttle with tps sensor. That's for anyone with similar future problems

You mean you replaced the tps sensor on the throttle body?
