Default why did my flywheel get a hot spot w/new clutch?

Exedy ultralight flywheel(like 8lbs) I got a new clutch CC stage 2 full face and drove 6 kms down my road and back only cruzing. No hard shift or launches staying under 6K and then just letting it engine break coming down, the flywheel was almost new when I did the new clutch. I did everything right de-greased the new clutch and degreased the flywheel even tho it wasn't dirty, used a snap on TQ wrench for everything and in the correct order. I'm parting out the car so it doesn't matter but every kid tries to lowball at the slightest spec of dirt I just want ot know what happened so I can just ditch it and sell the clutch as new or do a combo on the both.

Hard to tell with such a blurry picture, but are you sure thats a heat spot? Maybe if you took a clearer + closer shot of the spot, it would help out because IMO that is an unusual looking heat spot.

Also, I'm not sure anything above a regular 3k shift is suggested when breaking in a new clutch and flywheel.

I didn't shift above 3k I took it into the 6K to see if vtec worked which it didn't, then simply "engine braked" down. i'll try to get a cleaner pic

Looks like some smuge of dirt. I assume you already tried spraying with brake cleaner? Grab 1000 grit sandpaper and try to lightly sand it iff. If its a heat spot you'll see the impression left on the surface.

That probably did it.

It sounds like you allowed the clutch to slip while in a lower gear in order to drag the car down to a slower speed. This is a common practice and is a very bad one.

A clutch is not a "brake". You are not supposed to use the clutch to "engine brake".

The clutch is meant ONLY to connect/disconnect the engine and the rest of the drivetrain. Slipping the clutch is something that is meant to be kept to to an absolute minimum.
