Default LMA's

After 17 years my LMA's are ticking pretty good (adjusted the valves more than a few times).

I asked the dealership for the part number and said its 14820-p73-j01. These are the hydraulic type.

I was under the impression that these were discontinued and 14820-PCB-305 superseded these? (spring type)

Have seen many people recommend the spring type, but still confused on which ones to go with?

Thanks!

OEM NSX LMA's. Spring type. I went that route with no complaints.

PCB-305 is over $20 each. You can get the H22's PCB-003 for around $8 each and add hardened shims underneath to make them the right height.

Also, Skunk2 makes a set of spring-style LMAs for around $100 (~$12.50 each).

Don't like the idea of having shims to save a few bucks. Leaning towards nsx lma's as they are an oem part. Looks like the nsx lma's are from the '91-93 engines?

bumping an old thread instead of starting a new one. I'm thinking of replacing the LMAs on my B18C5 but the OEM R's are expensive ($27 - $45) and using the old hydraulic style. I'm thinking about going with the NSX ones like you did (14820-PCB-305) which seem to be the new spring type. I want to make sure these will fit fine on a B18C5 without any issues?

I'd have to dig through some receipts to get the exact part number so I'll try to do that on Monday when I'm at work.

Confirmed part number on my invoice from 2010 and it is the same number (14820-PCB-305). No issues at all so far.
