d16y7 to y8 mini me help
Hey what's up HT I'm new to the forums and also the honda scene.. I just recently picked up a 96 5speed hatchback with d16y7 as a daily so I could start building my 90 foxbody ...well the y7 was running completely fine but it wasn't enough power for me ...so after much reading I figured I'd try the vtec conversion for a little more ooomph I picked up a y8 head for cheap ...not sure what year tho honestly don't kno how to tell . I also got new gaskets a 5 spd y8 im guessing pre 99 since there's no cold start assist holes... and a p2p with an aftermarket header ... after completing the swap the engine is running real rich and idles low enough to where it seems to want to die I can't seem to find the issue ..maybe a sensor? Coolant lines and vacuum lines mixed?
Also the o2 sensor was extended by me with 18 gauge wire and connectors and there's only one o2 insert towards the end of the header not 2 like the stock y7.so kinda mixed up there..I also wired up the vtec..pressure switch..and installed a ks..and I'm running a 95 tb off my sisters parked civic it mounted but is that even ok to do
Yes it is the codes I'm getting r
P0141
p0135
p0453
And p0450
I know the first 2 have to do with o2 heater circuits how do I go about that?
And the other says fuel pressure sensor circuit ... high input..
what does that mean
any help is appreciated thank u

The last two are evaporative emissions codes. There's no real good way to get rid of them. You could try this:
.:FFS TechNet : OBD2 Code 91 Issue & Fix :.
People have tried and it works for some and not for others. You alternatively get a 96-97 P28 from the Del Sol and eliminate it for sure.

So do u think that the fuel sensor code could make my car run real rich like it's doing now to give me the porblems I'm experiencing or r would it most likely be my o2
