HELP! my H22A wont rev past 3000RPM with CEL
Ive done a search and havent found any info on this...
Today i went to get the down pipe made and connected from the headers to the catalyic converter...
Tomorrow being a Public holiday the garage that my car has been kept at is closed... so i wont be able to get the check engine light codes... but i got a feeling it could be more then one sensor...
just wondering if anyone encountered this problem before and know which sensor would be giving this sort of problem...
ill be adjusting the timing properly been having pretty spastic idles..
Well at least on wednesday ill be able to have a faint idea on what could be causing the problems... obviously my best bet would be to get the codes and look up in the book...
Just a question would the car start if one of the injectors are not working or incorectly connected? im pretty sure i did them correctly..

Hey Ryu,
ur problem maybe the O2 sensor on the down pipe isn't connected or is faulty.
i'm in brissie and have just finished my conversion today. Wat problems did u encounter? and how did u fix them?
Thanks.......

i remember when i did my h22a swap, it couldnt rev past 4000, and when it did, the car stalled. i found out that it was because my timing belt was off.
they are just starting to come...
todays Melbourne Cup so i wont be able to findout the CEL codes... will do first thing tomorrow...

hey, my friend is having the same prob with his b18 swap in a civic hb...we jumped the ecu and it gave a code 41, which is the o2 sensor heater, but i dont understand how that would limit rev's to 3000...we haven't had time to fix it but hoping that its the only problem.
well my problem turned out to be the EGR solenoid be stuffed... the vacuum was going into to it which made the car choke and stall...
ive disconnected it for now and the car idles fine...
what ecu you running.. make sure you HO2 sensor wires connected to the right pin...
not sure if you have to switch pin A6 and A11 on your swap though maybe someone can point that out
Forgot to mention my ECU was faulty...
the CEL Light constantly stays on...
try with a working ECU as well
