Default RE11A

Threw on RE11A's today and wow. Obviously not had a chance on track yet but they are very very good on road. A lot more comfortable than I was expecting for such an aggressive tyre.

205 50 15 on 96 spec Type R 15x6 4x114
98 spec type r shock/springs.

Old tyre was a yokohama SDRIVES. As you can imagine I am much happier now

they run really really wide on a 15x6, I think it is almost as wide as a 225 tire, and if you do any autox you might notice irregular wear. I was happy with them when I had them.

I did see the new re71r and chose to go against them. They look awesome but they are directional and I have never been a fan of directional tyres.
They really do look wide. I was shocked. They have a very aggressive appearance. I do autox a lot so I wonder how it will play out. One of the reasons I prefer asymmetric tyres is I can rotate them easily. Sounds like that might be needed

I have a set of re11a's on my r and I absolutely love them. Comfortable on the road with excellent grip at the track. I am a novice driver at the track and I never feel out of control with these tires. Extremely predictable and if it rains they work just as well....

Loved the RE-11a's, seemed like they got stickier but nosed off quicker than the traditional RE-11's. Either way, 90% of my track life was spent with either one of the two, nothing but compliments.

I was pleasantly surprised how well they worked in the rain, they werent bad when they were worn out in the wet either.

I run RE-11s, not A. Car is S2000, about 20,000 miles in on them many track days and love the tires. My nephew on his S2000 is running RS3, looking forward to comparing them. RE-11s are great tire.
