Default 3rd gen CRV door replacement

Hi all,

Got my door dented in on the passenger side of 2007 CRV. Door was hit bad enough to cause 2mm gap at top corner so that weather intrudes. Got a reasonable price for a replacement door in a local salvage yard. Anyone familiar with swapping out doors that can either direct me to a how to procedure or give me a brief description. I've done some work like this on other makes and could probably sift through it, but I always like to get advise from those who've done the job. Sequence of dismantling, alignment hints and such. Do any of the available manuals have decent write ups? Thanks

Get a friend to hold the door while you remove and install the door.

F you then. That's the best tip there is on this job. Everything else is straight forward, moron.

I see you changed your post. Not very professional throwing around the f bomb, especially since you were the one being all smart a$$. I asked a legit question. If the procedure was so trivial why are there manuals out there to explain them. You apparently have no patience to respond reasonably on this board and you must be so much more technically advanced that you can't be bothered to conduct yourself professionally. So why waste your time. Your responses I don't need, so feel free to ignore my posts in the future. Oh yeah! and fbomb back at ya!

Never touched it again. If I did then there would be a little sign at the bottom saying "edited".

I can't help that you get an attitude when someone gives you an honest answer. I may have smartazz posts in GDD but, not in the tech section. All you have to do is look at my tech posts to see that but, why would you when you can't even look at the jam of the vehicle you drive every day.

There are no "manuals", there is 3 a or 4 part procedure on 1 page of the manual and that's it. This is so simple that if you can do your own brakes you can do this no problem, it's as obvious as changing a tire if you actually look in the jam.

***While your friend holds the door, disconnect the electrical connector, unbolt the door stop from the body, then unbolt the hinges from the body. That's all there is to it and this is all absurdly simple when you actually look in the door jam.***

I have no patience when people ask for knowledge and when it's given to them they get an attitude.

For the sake of argument though, let's look at who was "professional" the longest:

post 1- you ask a question

post2- I give you the best advice anybody could

post 3- you get an attitude

post 4- I tell you were you can stick it AND tell you it's obvious once you actually look in the jam (I'm still trying to help you even though you've pissed me off by now)

post 5- you still have an attitude and still don't get the hint

post 6- I catch you in a lie that is obvious to everyone, tell you where you're going wrong, AND STILL I TRY TO HELP YOU

EDIT: This is what an edited post looks like
