Default Wheelhouse upper member

The wheelhouse upper members on my Civic DX hatch are rusted through. I need to know this :

1. Can I remove them myself (trying to save money) with a spot weld cutter, chisel, angle grinder, etc?

2. Can I drive without them on the car to get to an auto body shop and have new ones welded on, or will any bump make something bend or crack?

3.Do you know of a online shop where I could get a good deal on these?

Part numbers : 60614S01A00ZZ and 60714S01A00ZZ

Thanks for your help!

from a quick search, it seems each side is $ 45 plus shipping.

not bad price . i have a similar issue with my car, not as bad.

my approach is cut and weld in new metal, while im there going to weld a brace.

I was thinking I would remove the part and get a new one welded on. Half of it is already cut off from the rust so that's half the removal done already. I would just like to know if it's possible to drive without the part to the body shop without anything breaking… Good luck with yours.

Did you get this sorted out? I know this was a yr ago sorry for the thread revive. I got the wheel liners out of mine and they look about the same. Ordered the wheelhouse members to replace them. Should be no big deal. Turns out mine continued up under the hood hinge, in under the wiper tray in the corner. If you havent yet you had better take a good look in there. It will start as a water drip and end up a hole and a problem. Still unsure what to do with mine.

Thanks for the info. Will look into it. I haven't had the time to get these done. I'll just order the parts as well and have them cut off at the shop so there's no risk. Would've liked to do as much as possible by myself. Oh well...
