Default Advice for tires to jdm oem 16'' rims

Hi people,

I have a itr European version 1999 (not jdm), with tires 195/55 R 15 and bought some oem 16'' rims of jdm model.

My question is if I will not have problems mounting tires 215/45 R16 , my suspension have original dampers with HR lower springs (3.5mm), the tires will not touch the fenders? (front and rear)

Thanks in advance

Cheers

You'll be fine with that setup.

205/45/16 and 215/45/16 are the most common tire sizes used for 7J Spec98 wheels.
Here in Belgium 205/45/16 is also a road legal size for ITR (in case you also have yearly inspection), but I don't think 215/45/16 is.

thanks Todd00

LUV4JDM in Portugal both sizes are legal, of course before yearly inspection.

I'm in doubt between 205/45/16 and 215/45/16, but I think I have a better protective on the rim with the highest measurement in addition to having more grip.

My fear is the tires can touch the mud guards ahead or behind in the curves.

Thanks

Hi,

already assembled wheels and new tires (Yokohama Neova AD08 R 215/45 R 16), but when I turn the steering wheel all the Right turn, the inside of the left side of the tire touches the wheel arch guard .
My car is the European version of 98, is the JDM version has the trough of the different wheel guard?

Thanks

Cheers
