91 Accord Manual Transmission Fluid problem
Hello everyone. I am having a major problem with my transmission grinding between every gear now. I had my clutch replaced 2 years ago and noticed a problem with it grinding into third recently so i decided to change the fluid in it. I could tell it was some sort of gear oil in it. I purchased Honda Manual transmission fluid and filled it up properly, jacked up the car to make it level and let it run out until its even with the hole. Started driving it around a bit and it didnt improve it what so ever. It grinds in every gear now so i stopped driving it completely. Any thoughts on the problem? I've heard gm synchromesh fluid is awesome.
Drain the trans oil again and refill. There is still some gear oil in it.
What I think is going on is the gear oil is too thick and it's not allowing the synchros to work properly.
I use Pennzoil 10w30 engine oil. 1.9 quarts.
