whats up accord people! i just finished doing the timing belt, balance belt, waterpump and valve adjustment on my gf's 93. the only thing that confused me was the rear balance shaft markings. there were two marks and i didnt know which one to use. one was a line, the other was a dot. if you've seen it, u know what im talking about. theyre both next to each other but neither seemed to line-up right.

i put it back together and theres a very slight vibration while accelerating and the engine's louder. so i think im a tooth or two off on the rear shaft. idle is fine though.

can someone tell me which marks to use? post a pic or scan your helms would b very cool. tia

 

f22a1?? if it's a 93 it should be a f22a4 (lx,se) f22a6 EX, unless it's a dx. but then i guess it would be f22a1.. pick up a HELMES BOOK that's the honda bible.. it will tell you where the markings are at

 

I don't use any marks to line up the rear balancer shaft. I use an old philips screwdriver in the maintenance hole on the back of the block to lock the shaft in possition. (Honda recomends a 6x100 mm bolt.)
