Default Possible tdc problem.....

I have a 94 civic with a 99 civic si b16a motor swap, obd1 wiring and ecm. Cel throwing code 8 top dead center sensor. My car still runs good, just a bit of a harder start than normal and no vtec. I have checked the coil, was good. Checked tdc sensor it was in spec. How do I test for a short in my wiring? Tia.

Short = continuity to body ground with a multimeter

Also test for a wire open

Open = wire lacks end to end continuity with a multimeter

Do all these tests from the 2 TDC sensor wire terminals in the ECU connector.

Google search the 92-95 Civic service manual.
