2001 civic lx problems
Just recently bought a civic for a daily driver and I could use some help.
(Fixed)1.the stock radio isn't working, checked all the fuses and I noticed the back up fuse was blown so I replaced it with the same amp and it blew right when I put it in.
2. The rpm gets stuck while accelerating sometimes.
3.NEW problem the battery light stays on, the battery holds a charge the alternator is fine I had it tested twice at autozone. When I unpluged the coolant temp sensor the light went off so I figured it was faulty and replaced it but the light is still on.

Best thing to do is get the service manual and/or the electrical troubleshooting manual. You can get a paper copy here for about $50: Service Manuals, Owner Manuals, Wiring Diagrams, Service Bulletins - Helm Incorporated or you can get a download or CD off of eBay for cheap.
1. There are several circuits on that fuse. You'll have to go through each one to find the short. This is where the manual comes in handy. Without the manual you could try pulling the head unit and looking for exposed wires.
2. Inspect and clean the trottlebody.
3. Service manual.

I noticed that when I leave the radio unplugged the fuse is ok but when I plug it back up it pops could it be the radio? And for the rpm it's the gauge needle getting stuck not the throttle.
