Dim battery light

Dim battery light
so I've been searching for the past few days and found no solution to my problem.
99 civic dx hatch
the other day while driving I drove though, what I thought was a shallow puddle in the middle of the road ended up being like a lake! But not even a few mins after my battery light came on very dim,so I drove back to my garage and swapped out the alternator with a new one, battery light still dim and wouldn't go off.
Tested the battery-good
tested the alternator -good
both hold correct voltage
drove the car over an hour home no problem light just stays on so today I checked the fuse under dash wasn't blown, or any of the fuses under the hood, swapped out with a new ELD in the fuse box battery light still on but every dim.
I don't think I have a problem with my cluster or pcm because all my other lights are working fine. Tested the srs light and comes on and off. Everything works fine but light will not go away. Checked the 4 pin plug on the alternator all wires are tight and no sign of corrosion, cleaned both male and female sides of the connector and nothing, even added an extra ground to see if it's a resisten problem and nothing anyone have and idea.
everyplace i searched everyone said the alternator but I'm 100%sure that's not the problem or my battery if anyone can point me in the right direction
