ECU/fuel pump/ac compressor,relay switch
2007 Honda Pilot suddenly would not start, determined to be a fuel pump problem as it would start with the use of starting fluid. Several weeks later I have now replaced both the fuel pump and the main relay, fuel pump was still not running. Searching the internet I came across the idea of running a jumper wire directly to fuel pump. I have driven the car for 2 weeks this way now. However, I recently discovered that the air conditioner compressor, engine coolant fan and condenser fan are not working. The components are functional, but only if the relay switch is held open. These were all known to be working correctly before the original problem. Does this point to a problem with the ECU? If so, I have located one from a wrecked vehicle, but will it be necessary to have the dealer program the replacement ECU to my vehicle? Is there something else I should be checking before resorting to replacing the ECU?
