Driving on the freeway today my car started to make a noise. Like some rocks stuck in something and making noise. Car doesnt wobble either so no bent rim.

 

a wheel bearing on it's way out has a distinct howling noise. a video may help

 

howling as in what? like try to explain it lol

 

growling sort of noise there usually is wobble associated with it tho, what side is it coming from you didn't say and when does it come and go mph wise. how many miles on your car

 

From the passenger side. It was all mph wise all the way until i stopped the car. And yeah i would say the noise is a grinding to. But when im going slow the sound is slow and when i go faster so the sound to. And car has medium high miles

also i got new rims, but they arent bent and they were fine before this happened. there are no vibrations like no steering wheel shake, so i dont think anything is bent. Its just the noise.

Does the noise stop when turning left or right?

Wheel bearing noise will sound as if you are in an airplane when traveling on the highway usually.

 

jack up the car then try to shake the wheel. if bearing is bad the wheel feels a little loose

 

if it's the rear you can diy fairly easily. you'll need a press for the front, make your own!
