I drive an automatic accord. When driving it sometimes bogs when shifting. In d4 once i get to around 50-60 mph and i try to go faster the engine revs up but thats it, no positive change in speed. It sounds like right when i need it to shift so i can pick up more speed it goes into neutral and the rpm goes up. Sometimes when I am slowing down and taking a turn then trying to pick up speed it once again starts bogging like its in the wrong gear. Lately i have been just putting it in D3 when i need more power so I wont hold everybody else up behind me. Anybody know what this is? please help me. Do I need a new tranny? TCU?

 

When was the last time the fluid was changed?
Doesn't sound like bogging, bogging would be the engine cannot rev and stumbles.
Sounds more like the pickup in the transmission is getting clogged.
Drain and refill while adding a cleaner like Trans Tune to help breakup any gunk/slurry that may be in the pan.

 

Okay so im still having the transmission problems but for the past week now my car is bogging, sputtering, and popping! It happens when accelerate. It park or neutral it can rev up all day..but as soon as i put it in d4 or d3 or drive period, it acts like it has no power..like its starving of something....but it only does it after the car is warmed up.......any ideas?

 

Have you check for any stored codes?

Are the regular tune up items up to date.
