Default Quick help on brake compatibility.

UPDATE BELOW...

I have a 1992 Honda Civic LX D15B7

Will this fit for my car?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Power-Stop-Z23-Evolution-Caliper-Brake-Kit-for-Civic-KC699-/151596977804?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A1992%7CMake%3AHonda%7CModel%3ACivic&hash=item234be24e8c&vxp=mtr#vi-ilComp

In other words. Do 1992 Honda Civic's generally have the same brake parts during that year? Does for example, do DX and LX brakes work together?

That kit is likely being sold from rockauto.

Go to rockauto. Compare part numbers. No, not all the brakes are the same.

Power stop are just painted OEM brakes with worthless drilled rotors.

Marketed to people who dont know any better and think theyre getting a high performance brake kit on the cheap.

Well,

I don't care about having performance brakes, just need to replace the stock ones. Calipers are shot.

Rock auto has the same part number.

Looked into that, it would be twice the cost!

Guess I'll cross my fingers. If it doesn't work out, I'll return it and order proper parts.

Just hard to spend $ on a car that just turned 275k.

UPDATE:

everything fits fine. Which means the DX brakes fits the LX version.

Not only that, but its a significant difference in braking. Couldn't lock up the tires before, and now I locked them up when testing.

Totally worth it.
