Have you tried any of the headlight restoring products?

I've polished integra headlights using plastic polish and a rag. Made a huge difference.

Plastic polish doesn't do much.

Wet sand:
-600
-1000
-1500
-2000

Polish with plastic polish and a buffer. They sell kits to attach a buffer to a hand drill. Then just keep the lights waxed.

Before and afters:

Went from super cloudy to looking brand new on my 00 Integra. I've sanded headlights before using the polish on an Integra I had before. On this one, I didn't sand, and it came out looking just as good.

Sylvania headlight restoration kit is what I used. Wet sand using 400, 1000, and 2000 with their proprietary UV clear coat. Took a couple hours all for under thirty dollars.

Takes me about 45 mins to do both lights. I hate that photobucket's mobile app kills the photo resolution so much. My TSX's lights really did come out looking brand new. They still look great after like a year or so of driveway time and an IL winter.

The car came from the south. Lots of sun exposure on the lights. Plus it sits on my driveway now that my new place only has a 1.5 car garage :'(

There is no chance that plastic polish would get my lights from before to after as shown above.

Thanks man!! I washed the car today. There's a TINY bit of haze on the top portion of one of the lights, but for the most part, they look like they did a year ago when I refinished them!

The Texas sun really kills headlights. About every 3 years I wet sand with super fine grit, dry, then clear coat (3 coats minimum). All with materials I have laying around. This method is cheaper and lasts longer than most, if not all, restoration kits.

I can never seem to get the clear coat to go on correctly. I usually have to wet sand the clear, starting with 1000 grit.

For my TSX, I just left the clear coating off. I did the same thing for my Si...but I sold that car and deleted the pics by mistake :/
