Default how much paint

ok guys I am wanting to have my car repainted, from your experience how much basecoat does it take to paint a integra 2 door, not including jams since it is going to be same oem color bg-33p. mainly painting bc of fade and clear coat of a 1994 integra as you can imagine the original paint is tiast on top of hood roof deck lid.

I plan on buying a gallon of clear coat and quart of hardner, so I can hopefully clear more than once to make her shine, but I really want to know your opinions on how much basecoat it will take.

also would a pint be able to cover a hood for a different integra?

if you are painting yourself and have never done it before you will most likely have to touch up some areas or respray some drips and sags. Buy 1/2 gallon of base coat to do the car minus jams and engine bay.

1 Gal will usually cover a car including jambs (depending on mix ratio), Like Deltron or Global Its 1:1 so you usually have 2 gals of spray able material. Its nice to buy in a gal so you can get the whole car done in the same color and you might have a little left over for touch up's. You want to do about 3 to 4 coats of clear so a gal should cover it all.

Just an example, on a Camaro I did we had to do 2:1 mix ratio because the color was to transparent and ended up having to use 2 gals of base.
