Anyone make Custom Ring and Pinion Gears
Hey guys. I ma working on a project car and I am needing to source a Custom ring and Pinion for the build to distribute full time 4wd Acura and Honda drive train systems for the public. anyone know who makes custom ring and pinions.
I got Motive Engineering to Cut me a ring and pinion but I am working with them for kits to sell and distribute my 4wd Honda and Acura design.Just got the Hookup from S&W Race Cars to be a distributor for their products aswell. Pretty crazy how fast everything is moving. I can answer questions about the car. What do you all wanna know?
Using what components exactly for the entire driveline? Is this modification of stock components or removing factory components completely and installing something else in its place?

Should produce great power and low end tq. Will be running water methanol injection at 11.0:1 compression with race gas for max power pulls. Expecting 600whp

Daaaang... what are you trying to do, make this thing flip over when you press the brakes? LOL! So, how exactly did you brace the transfer case? Did you also reinforce the transmission side? Any pictures? Also, you say bolt in kit, but it looks more like a gut job then install. Thanks for sharing!
Never said this is a bolt on kit. The subframe is weld in and the rear suspension is modular so it drops off of the car as all one unit. Half shafts and all. I have a brake proportioning system from Tilton Engineering that splits the brake clamping force bias front and rear. The front and rear brake systems have their own reservoir and are totally independent from each other except for the bias adjuster. Its all about the master cylinders you use but with a 9.5"wide tire and Nitto NT01's for traction coupled with the wider stance I assure you I wont be tippin any time soon bro. Just laying down fatty patches of Nitto as I launch on evos and sti's.
This was a doner car and we got it gutted out. We have several subframe designs that allow full use of the interior of the car however the rear subframe must be removed to make room for the vette diff. I however cannot share the transfer case bracing as it is the missing link to making the crv trans hold good amounts of power. Will just need to wait til the kit is done and wait for pic.

Wow man, are you really that sensitive? I was COMPLETELY complimenting you on everything. My bad for misreading what you typed - I read kit and put bolt-on in front of it as most people that would have the skills to modify will just build their own. Anyways, I stiffen my transfer case as well and was just curious how you did yours and what heat treating process you used. If you search on cast aluminum and it's properties the information is more or less readily available so I don't NEED your info.
Been doing upgrades to the CRV for years... This is a community for sharing, and I try to do so as much as possible. If you don't want to then so be it, but no need for an attitude because people get turned off by that, especially if you trying to sell them stuff. If it matters, I WAS interested in this kit depending on price point, but I guess I asked too many questions for your customer support to handle. Good luck on selling your kits, I truly mean that.

Latest updates for anyone who is following. Our gears are being made from our gear vendor out of the country. Reverse Cut 2.54's for the C4 which is a 7 9/16ths ring gear with a 44/17 tooth count. should have a working prototype soon to install and test the configuration. QA1 is going to allow for another set of Proma Star double adjustable shocks for the front of the Civic with custom top hats and new 14" springs to match. Hopefully have a couple of videos soon.
Great looking project.
Never made a ring & pinion . . . one day. We just got a wire EDM so I'm going to start with some normal straight cut gears first
